What is the Green Development Zone? What can it be? What should it be?

PUSH has many notable accomplishments on Buffalo's west side, the city of Buffalo, Western new York, and throughout New York State. The Green Development zone an area on Buffalo's west side, a predominately lower income neighborhood is the physical embodiment of our mission, our affordable housing, our energy efficiency, workforce development, and other sustainable projects that we have worked on.

Through these Green Development Zone Leadership Labs, which are a series of workshops and tours, you will hear from some of the people involved in this work. It is important though that we hear from many of the west side residents we haven't come in contact with. We want to continue to learn from each other and build our community together. We want to work with neighborhood residents to stay grounded with the community and understand how these many projects fit into the puzzle of a sustainable community. As we grow together and evolve, we must: know what we've done, what we've done well, what needs improvement, and continue to develop community leaders to carry on this good work into the future.
