Recap From The Annual Meeting 2011

The PUSH Buffalo annual meeting held this year was a big success. Keeping in tune the meetings carnival and circus theme, members were treated to a wonderful time. The Grant St. Neighborhood Center was transformed into that place under the big top. Through circus like games such as tic tac toe the community was able to see through a rotating set of presentations the different types of work that PUSH Buffalo has been involved with over the past year. Our greatest motto has always been We know what we want where we live with presenters such as Aaron Bartley, Suzzane Montalalou, Eric Walker, Janice Li, Sean Ryan, Bob Cook and Terry Richard nowhere has this ever been more aptly demonstrated. Community involvement over the past year was represented in our struggle with weatherization, efforts to restore the Massachusetts Avenue park, and the Buffalo green development zone. All current PUSH Buffalo board members were reelected to another term. PUSH Buffalo members were also able to voice their vision for the organization's campaigns for the upcoming year. There was Hispanic and African food available to all attendees after the meeting. To all who missed it was an informative great time and we hope that you can make it to our next annual meeting.
