PUSH members and staff gathered together this Saturday to reflect on the outcome of the Presidential election and brainstorm what it means to have a former community organizer in the Whitehouse. Different ideas and opinions were bounced around, but the consensus was that the work of improving our neighborhoods doesn't stop now; if anything it only intensifies. If we have a window of opportunity, we have to make sure that window stays wide open so we keep seeing real concrete improvements in people's lives!
Speaking of windows, we are starting to rev up our Green Jobs, Green Housing Campaign, so keep on the lookout for future updates! We want to make sure the idea of sustainability includes and benefits our neighborhoods from the onset and not leaving them behind in a cloud of green dust. Remember: People know what they need where they live!
