Duties and Responsibilities:
• Compile and analyze financial information for business transactions
• Perform the Bank Reconciliations for all entities
• Prepare and maintain support for simple to moderately complex journal entries
• Perform General Ledger Account Reconciliations and data gathering
• Document process flows for area of responsibility
• Prepare month-end close processes and review with Accounting Manager and executive management
• Prepare of Month-end reports for Senior Director of Finance
• Prepare Audit workpaper supports and preliminarily research Audit queries
• Work with Management at all levels and others to develop budgets, including budgets for grants
• Work with Accounting Manager to complete grant reporting responsibilities of the organization
• Maintain Grant Funding schedules and support Accounting Manager with invoicing for grant or reimbursements for amounts paid by organization.
• Generate reports as needed
• Obtain insurance certificates as needed/complete applications/renewals.
• Attend all required meetings/events.
• Perform job duties in ways that will promote and uphold our organization’s mission.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and specifications:
• Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of related accounting experience
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of not-for-profit accounting
• General knowledge of financial operations
• Grant accounting experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously, with short turnaround times.
Education and Qualifications:
• Degree – minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with not-for-profit accounting, QuickBooks software
• A proactive, creative, and flexible attitude
• Willing to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary

The salary range for this position, to be determined by combination of education, experience, and skill level, is:
$55,000 – $65,000 annually
This position is full-time, supervisory, exempt.
