- PUSH is a co-sponsor of PPG’s first annual Advocacy Summit, a day-long program that offers “an opportunity for local residents and aspiring community advocates to learn civic, advocacy, and public policy skills so they can be part of making change in Buffalo Niagara.”
- The Summit if free. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Buff State campus.
- Sessions include training on key advocacy roles and actions, including:
- Policy Advocacy 101
- Coalition Building
- Working with the Media
- City & County Advocacy
- Meeting with Legislators
- Burnout & Compassion Fatigue
- Trauma Informed Advocacy
